About "Broken Sky Blade".

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

I do not agree with using extravagant language to write martial arts novels. Instead, I admire Ye Feng's integrity and selflessness, Shen Qianqian's unwavering devotion, Lao Da's sacrifice for justice, Fang Qingping's willingness to be shattered like jade. Then there is Dao Wang's sorrowful and heroic spirit... Long Tengkong's courage and determination, Zhu Yanhong's sacrifice for love...

Compared to the themes of other stories in the General Ming series, such as the grudges in "Breaking the Waves", the justice in "Soul Thief", and the destiny in "Sky Thief", the theme of "Shattered Sky Blade" is only one - love!

So, until now, I still believe that the feeling is pure, beautiful, exquisite, and brilliant; suddenly, unexpectedly, but as natural as the beautiful scenery, without any regret like a moth to a flame...

However, in the original intention, Ye Feng remains free and easy, while Zhu Yanhong is just a woman who, in the winter daydream, suddenly encounters a blue sky, a woman who falls in love with someone she shouldn't and ultimately swallows the bitter fruit...

"Broken Sky Blade" is my first long novel. Perhaps there are various shortcomings in writing techniques and methods, but please allow me to assert myself: I only hope that after the readers put down the book, what remains in their hearts is the intense and persistent emotion, the stirring that still persists after withering and falling into the dust...

I believe that when Huayan's love suddenly shines upon Ye and Zhuyan, it is enough to make fear disappear and the mind become dizzy. It is not only reason that is stifled, but also not only rationality that collapses.

"As an offshoot, 'Broken Sky Blade' can only be considered as a fragment within that grand martial world backdrop."

Ye Feng's free and easy attitude, Shen Qianqian's playfulness, General Ming's determination, Lei Nu's hardship, Li Qingsheng's gloominess, and Shui Zhihan's strategy... Although there are often new ideas, I write as I please, but I have never lost control due to impulsive writing.

In my mind, love is a sudden thing that cannot be arranged or planned calmly. It happens in specific time, space, and occasions, without the need to distinguish the reasons.

Yes, perhaps that was truly a doomed romance.

The "General Ming" series is based on stories about a certain type of weapon, with General Ming as the subplot, depicting the martial arts era created in imagination.

What may be unimaginable for us, for the world, and for that era, perhaps for Ye Feng and Zhu Yanhong, everything was inevitably going to happen.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to Beijing Yangyang Daguan and "The Legend of Ancient and Modern Wuxia Version" for giving me the opportunity to publish. I also want to thank all the editors and readers for their feedback and support. For me, "Broken Sky Knife" has come to an end, but I will continue to strive and hope to bring you all new and refreshing works in the future!

My only wish in this lifetime is to offer my integrity to the heavens and the earth, and to pass on my legend for future generations to recite.

Allow me to borrow a classic line here: "Do you need a reason to love someone? Do you?"

That is the persistence focused on the world of martial arts, the boldness invited by the Three Rivers and Five Lakes, the rare combination of emotions and sexuality in today's era, and also a kind of regret that I want to remind myself and others of!

At the beginning, there was still an outline in the writing, and the fate of each character, the outcome of each event, and the setting of each scene were roughly understood.

The main series is called "The Sky Bow", consisting of four parts: "The Sky Thief", "Changing Days", and the currently in-progress final chapters: "The Summit" and "Mountains and Rivers".

But I eventually forgot how to make the story follow its original plan step by step, and Ye and Zhu also forgot how to let this relationship, which should have been "arising from emotion and ending in propriety," fade away without a trace as time goes by.

If the sky forgets its own azure, and if the spring breeze forgets its own brightness!

As for the spin-off, there are "Broken Sky Blade", "Breaking Wave Cone", and "Soul Stealing Shadow".

For me, they can be summed up in just four words: a person of integrity!

Only Zhu Yanhong, only her love, but it grows on its own, like that irresistible river and lake.

All of this has made me feel helpless. I would rather use a pen filled with deep emotions to depict the indescribable sentiment, regretting that I cannot write vividly and lamenting that I cannot express myself through writing!

Many readers ask me: How did Ye Feng fall in love with Zhu Yanhong?

I believe that, even as the constellations shift and the sun and moon rise and set, that sense of chivalry will still reside within.

Therefore, I often reminisce about the state of mind when I wrote fervently under the autumn moon three years ago: under the almost uncontrollable pen, a sinful passion that was rejected by the world was produced.

Because in my opinion, the words "emotion" and "righteousness" have unconditionally dominated all chapters and sections!

Let's talk about the perspective on martial arts novels: In my opinion, the essence of martial arts can be summed up in one word: emotion.

First of all, it should be noted that "Broken Sky Blade" is a part of the Ming General series. Although it can be considered a complete story, it cannot be regarded as a complete work.
